Product Description

“Wabi (wah-be)-sabi (sah-be)” is Japanese traditional aesthetics originated from the tea ceremony, which admires simplicity, imperfection, volatility, and incompletion. Handmade by Seto-yaki artisans, each one of this beautiful tea bowl is slightly different.

Seto-yaki, or Seto ware is a type of Japanese pottery produced in and around Seto City in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, which is renowned historically as a pottery production center. Seto City is one of “the six ancient kilns” in Japan. Tableware in Japan is largely ceramic, and often called Seto-mono. “Mono” means “things,’ and “Seto” refers to Seto city.
