Pesticide Residue Report on Indian and Chinese teas
By now, you are likely familiar with the health benefits of drinking Sei Mee Green Tea products: boosting immunity, reducing the effects of aging, supporting cardiac health, reducing cholesterol, and supporting healthy weight loss, just to name a few. But did you know that Sei Mee Tea products have the added benefit of being certified organic whenever organic products are available?
Like organic fruits and vegetables, organic tea is grown and processed without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. This is particularly important for tea leaves, which receive and absorb toxic chemicals often applied in spray form. Because of the delicate nature of tea leaves, it is impossible to remove all residue of these chemicals when washing and preparing the tea.
A report released by Greenpeace found dangerous levels of pesticides in many teas imported from China and India. Click the image to read the article.
Pesticide residue in food products is thought to increase the risk of numerous cancers, autoimmune diseases and inflammatory conditions. When advising my patients about dietary issues, I always encourage them to look for organic produce and grass-fed, anti-biotic-free meat and poultry. Food is meant to nourish and sustain us, so it’s important that it be free of toxins.
The same is true of tea. If you want to reap the many benefits of green tea, it’s important that the leaves be free of chemicals and toxins. Sei Mee Tea can promise you that all of their products are not only of the highest quality, but are as safe and effective as possible. This is of even more importance for Matcha and Sencha powder since you are eating the whole leaf in powder form.
As you prepare for the holiday season, consider giving your friends and family the Gift of Health. Share the benefits of Sei Mee Tea products and know that you are giving the very best.

Sale on Edible Green Regular & Genmaicha!
Thank you so much for your wonderful patronage this year! As I found marvelous ORGANIC, GREAT TASTING green teas during my Japan trip last month, I am looking forward to introducing great new products to you in 2016.
If you haven’t yet, please click the picture on right to see a few of the photos I took during my trip at our FaceBook.
The photo shows one of the organic green tea growers we visited in Kagoshima, Japan, showing off how soft and well taken care of the soil of their organic tea farm is. The bamboo stick is about 4 yards long and two thirds of the stick went into the soil with no effort. The soft, nutritious soil is the key to growing healthy, strong green tea leaves. The soil has been fertilized with their home made, 100% organic fertilizer for 30 years!
