Hojicha Powder Recipes ~ Try these “Hot” drinks from Asia!

Hojicha Latte

Warm 1 c Milk of choice

Add the following ingredients and stir well:

1 tsp. Hojicha powder

2 tsp. Sugar

1 tsp. Maple syrup

Dash Cinnamon powder

 

Hojicha Fudge

Soften 2 Tbsp Butter and mix in the following ingredient until smooth:

1 tsp. Hojicha powder

3 Tbsp. Gently packed brown sugar

¼ tsp. Cardamom powder

Keep it in fridge and use this fudge to make “Hojicha Latte 2”

 

Hojicha Latte 2

Warm 1 c Milk.  Add 2 – 3 tsp. Hojicha Fudge and stir well.

 

Hojicha Smoothie

Put the following ingredients in the order listed into a blender and process until smooth:

5 Ice cubes

1 Ripe banana (break into 3 or 4 pieces)

¾ c Milk of choice

1½  tsp. Hojicha powder

Dash Cayenne powder

 

Hojicha Whipped cream

Mix ¼ tsp. Hojicha powder with 1 Tbsp. whipped cream.  Top smoothie, latte, ice cream etc. with this cream.

 

Hojicha Sauce

Mix ¼ c  Sweetened condensed milk with 1 tsp. Hojicha powder and stir well until smooth.

Drizzle over whipped cream or ice cream for color and flavor.

 

Hojicha Ice Cream

Put the following ingredients in a bowl:  1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk, 2 c Heavy cream, 3 Tbsp. Hojicha powder.  Mix well; Hojicha powder should be well incorporated in the liquid.  Whip the mixture until soft peak forms.  Pour the content into a container and freeze for 6 hours.  To serve, scoop ice cream into an ice cream bowl or in an ice cream cone.  Top it off with whipped cream and drizzle with Hojicha Sauce, if you wish.

 

Hojicha Frappe

Blend ½ c Simple syrup*, 1c Ice cubes, and ½ Hojicha powder in a blender until smooth.  Top it off with Whipped Cream and drizzle with Hojicha Sauce.

*Simple Syrup—mix 1 c sugar in 1 c warm water well until sugar dissolves completely.

 

Hojicha Orange Frappe

Put the following ingredients in the order listed in a blender and blend until smooth:

1 Tbsp. Orange Marmalade, 1 tsp. Hojicha Powder, Dash Ginger Powder,  ½ c water, 1 c ice cubes

To serve, top it off with Hojicha Whipped Cream and drizzle with Hojicha Sauce, if you wish.
