Two latest studies confirm efficacy of green tea on fat loss and cognitive health
→Exercise with green tea is better than exercise without:
The latest research found exercise with green tea is much more effective than exercise without green tea. This 16 week study used mice on a high-fat diet. The high-fat-fed mice that exercised with green tea antioxidants lost 36.6% abdominal fat mass. A 17% reduction in fasting blood glucose level, a 65 % decrease in plasma insulin level, and also a 65% reduction in insulin resistance. These are all substantial improvements related to diabetic health. The other group that exercised without green tea showed less significant changes in weight and health.
This study was conducted in absence of caffeine. These positive results were brought by green tea antioxidants, not by caffeine.
→Green tea improves memory and cognitive functions:
According to the study conducted by researchers in Switzerland, green tea increased the working memory and enhanced task performance. Researchers suggest green tea may be effective to treat cognitive impairments in psychiatric disorders such as dementia.
