SIMPLE & TASTY MATCHA RECIPES that you can use everyday for your health

Many people buy Matcha* and then are unsure how to prepare it. We would like to share with you some of our favorite Matcha recipes. 

As you enjoy each recipe, may you be inspired to create your own favorite Matcha recipe to share with your friends.  There are many ways to use Matcha – hot or cold tea, smoothies, use in baking and added to your favorite soup recipe. Take note that the usual serving for Matcha is about ¼-½ teaspoon, it doesn’t take a lot to make a delicious and healthy treat.

[*Matcha is technically the name for the powder made from shade grown green tea, and Sencha is green tea grown in full sun—however, Kanji (Japanese) character of “matcha” also means “powdered green tea”.  We will use “Matcha” as a general term for all the green tea powder, including MATCHA, Edible Green® Sencha Powder Regular, and Decaf. Matcha Spiced Cider ~ Serve hot or cold!

1/2 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha powder regular/decaf
Juice from 1 to 2 smal Mandarin Oranges, or 1 tsp. dry ground orange peel
scant 1/8 tsp. Clove powder
¼ tsp.Cinnamon Powder
1 cup Hot water
1 packet Stevia or sweetener of your choice

1.Add all ingredients into mug, except hot water.
2.Add hot water and mix well with a whisk.
3.You may increase or decrease all ingredients to taste

 


Matcha Turmeric Tea

1/2 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha powder regular/decaf
1/2 tsp. each of Cinnamon, Cardamom, Turmeric, & Grated Fresh Ginger
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 packet Stevia or sweetener of your hoice
1  cup Milk of your choice (Our favorite is Almond & Coconut  Blend Milk) 

 

1.Heat milk in saucepan until steaming. 
2.Add all other ingredients and mix well with a whisk.  
3.Ready to serve--Enjoy! 

 

 

 

Matcha Chia Pudding/Drink  ~ Fix night before for quick breakfast!

1/2 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha Powder regular/decaf
2 Tbsp. Chia Seeds*
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 packet Stevia or sweetener of your choice
1 cup Milk of your choice (Our favorite is Almond & Coconut Blend Milk) 

1.Add all dry ingredients in a container with lid and mix or shake well.
2.Add vanilla extract, sweetener, and milk.  Mix well with whisk or put lid on tightly and shake well.
3.Let set in refrigerator overnight. In the morning mix well again with whisk. Ready to drink.  
*If you would like to make this into a thicker pudding like dish, add 1 more Tbsp. of Chia Seeds to mixture.

Chia seeds are one of the healthiest foods and offer nutty yummy flavor.
2 Tbsp. Chia seeds in this recipe offer 
• 5.6 g Protein,
• 5 g of Omega-3 fatty acids,
• 11g Fiber, and 
• 18% of the recommended dietary allowance for Calcium

 

Matcha Frappuccino

1/2 to 1 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha Powder regular/decaf
1 cup Milk of your choice
4 to 5 Ice cubes
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 packet Stevia or sweetener of your choice
Optional: 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon or 1/2 tsp. Pumpkin pie spice, and/or 1 tsp. Chia seeds. 

Add all ingredients to blender or juicer and mix until blended. Ready to enjoy!

 

Matcha Tea Traditional Recipe
 

1/2 tsp. MATCHA or ¼ tsp.  Edible Green Sencha Powder regular/decaf
1 packet Stevia or sweetener of your choice
1 cup Hot water
1 wedge Lemon- Optional

1.Add MATCHA or Sencha Powder and sweetener to mug.
2.Pour hot water into mug. Mix well with whisk. Ready to serve.

 

MATCHA in bottle:  If you want to mix into a water bottle, just add MATCHA or Sencha Powder and sweetener and shake until fully combined. You may need to drink a little water first to make room for the Matcha and to be able to shake it well!

 

Matcha Smoothie 

1/2 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha Powder regular/decaf
1 cup Milk of your choice
1 Banana
4 to 5 Ice cubes or 3/4 cup Frozen Fruit*
*Recommended combo examples:

  • MATCHA lemon or mint & frozen berries
  • MATCHA ginger & frozen pinapples,
  • MATCHA rosehip & frozen cranberries and a splash of Apple Cider Vinegar

Add all ingredients to blender or juicer and mix untill smooth. Enjoy!

 

Matcha Latte

1. Mix 1/2 tsp. MATCHA or Edible Green Sencha Powder regular/decaf with 1 tsp. water or Vanilla extract.
2. Add 1 cup warm milk of your choice.  Add sweetener, if you wish.  Stir well or froth with a frother. Enjoy!
