1.
Sencha has more antioxidants.
Good
quality green tea with more antioxidants needs
to be grown under full sun because abundant
sun increases Catechin antioxidants in green
tea leaves. Edible GreenŽ is made from Sencha,
which is grown under full sun, and has more
Catechins than Matcha. So enjoy Edible Green®,
and feel the wonder of the sun in your body!
2. Sencha has less caffeine.
Matcha
is the tea used for the Japanese tea ceremony.
Historically, the tea ceremony was created for
monks and Samurai warriors, who loved the strong
caffeine effect to stay alert. Matcha is grown
in partial shade, and the leaves have more caffeine.
The longer tea leaves are exposed to sun, the
less caffeine the tea leaves have.
3. Sencha is easy to mix in water.
Have you seen the Japanese tea ceremony? It is
hard work to mix Matcha powder into hot water
using a big bamboo whisk, because Matcha tends
to clump up in water. Although Edible Green®
is called "ground green tea," tea leaves
are actually chopped very fine (10-15 micron size)
and easily mix into water. Edible Green® is
not an "instant" freeze dry powder that
dissolves in water, rather it is finely chopped
real tea leaves. The powder evenly suspends
immediately when you add warm water to the powder
in tea cup. Since it suspends rather than dissolves,
it works great in cold water too--no need to boil
and chill to make a cold green tea--just put Edible
Green® powder into a cold water bottle and
shake it up.
Other benefits of cutting tea leaves instead of
grinding: 1) "Grinding" causes heat
and the heat might ruin precious nutrition and
antioxidants in the tea leaves. 2) The heat may
also cause bacteria in the tea leaves. 3) "Grinding"
erodes the tools and alien substance may get into
the powder.
So, enjoy Edible Green®--A better choice
for your healthy life!
