Q:  Why Edible Green tea doesn't have radiation?

A: There is no radiation in our Edible Green tea.  Our stock is currently from 2010 harvest and FDA test done at entry showed no radiation at all.
We were able to secure a fair amount of supply from 2010 crop, so this will last at least until the middle of 2012, although it depends on how fast the sales go.

There are 4 additional things we would like you to know regarding the 2012 and future crops:
1)       Our tea field is over 500 miles south west from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, and our packing factory is over 1000 miles south west from the power plant.  Trade winds in Japan push air and clouds to east, toward the Pacific Ocean and the United States, rather than south west.
2)       Radiation levels of water, soil, and air are checked every hour throughout Japan, and the areas where our tea field and factory are located have not detected radiation.  The test result from the area of our tea field:  http://mextrad1.blob.core.windows.net/page/24_Mie_en.html  The test result from the area of our factory:  http://mextrad1.blob.core.windows.net/page/46_Kagoshima_en.html
3)    We’ll conduct the radiation level test on the 2012 crop before we import to ensure the green tea is free from radiation. In case we found radiation on the crop, we will NOT import the tea.  We are ready for such scenario and we will be able to keep supplying healthy, safe, pure organic tea products to our market because we already have found a source in other country.
4)    Also, you might want to know FDA is independently testing all the products imported from Japan for radiation level at entry into the United States.  For more info, please visit their website:  http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/PublicHealthFocus/ucm247403.htm
