5. Is it true that cow's milk negates green tea's antioxidants? No, it is not true.

Casein, a kind of milk protein, was believed to negate Catechins' antioxidant activities. After many studies on this subject were done, scientists found that Catechins are just released more slowly when consumed with milk protein and actually extend the effects of the green tea antioxidant activities. As a result, the effect of catechin lasted from 4 to 8 hrs after the green tea was consumed with milk proteins, while the effect lasted only 4 hrs after green tea alone was consumed.

6. How much caffeine is there in Edible Green? About 1/10 of a cup of regular coffee.

Caffeine amount in 8 oz of tea and coffee:
Edible Green® 9mg / Decaffeinated Edible Green® <3 mg /
Matcha 16-50 mg / Black Tea 40-60 mg /
Coffee 80-140 mg / Decaf Coffee 3-4 mg

Fact 1: The caffeine in 8 oz drink of regular Edible Green tea is about the same as in 1 bar of Hershey Chocolate (1.55oz), which also has 9 mg of caffeine.

Fact 2: Edible Green contains L-theanine, a relaxant. So it doesn't cause caffeine jitters; instead, Edible Green gives you alertness and relaxation at the same time, providing you steady energy.

Fact 3: Water processed decaffeinated Edible Green is available for those who shouldn't take caffeine for various reasons. Since only 5% of the EGCG is water soluble, the decaffeinated Edible Green has still 95% of the EGCG left in the tea leaves, and the flavor is as good and comforting as regular Edible Green. Of course, you are still getting much more antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals than you would from brewed tea.
