Benefits about Edible Green®
Ground Green Tea
|
Tea and Catechins:
Tea, both Green Tea and Black Tea, is produced
from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis. The fermentation
and finishing process makes the unique flavor
and nutrition in each type of tea. Green Tea is
not fermented at all. Black Tea is nearly completely
fermented. “Catechins” are the most prominent
antioxidants and the reason Green Tea has been
in the center of scientists’ attention.

Beneficial
Effects of Green Tea:
|
|
1.
Catechins in green tea fights off
influenza virus.
Add
green tea to your diet to prevent
flu. Studies show that green
tea prevents flu, when consumed regularly.
Green tea catechins do two things:
prevent infection and inhibit growth
and reproduction of viruses. And,
green tea catechins protect against
any type of flu virus. The flu vaccine
each year just protects against that
year's most prevalent flu type. In
addition, many studies show green
tea catechins have the ability to
kill or prevent other viruses and
bacteria, for example, Salmonella,
food poisoning, Candida, etc.
2. Neutralize Free radicals
3. Prevent cancers
4. Regulate blood pressure and prevent
cardiovascular disease
5. Regulate blood sugar (glucose and
insulin level)

| Frequently
Asked Questions
|
|
| 1.
Is Edible Green® the same as Matcha / Macha?
No.
|
| Matcha
/ Macha is also green tea powder, which is traditionally
used in the tea ceremony. It is made by grinding
Tencha-leaves, which are grown under cover. This
process increases caffeine and decreases Catechins
in the leaves. Although Edible Green has a very
similar appearance to Matcha / Macha, Edible Green
is made from Sencha, which is the most popular
type of tea in Japan, and has less caffeine and
more Catechins than Matcha / Macha. |
2.
The first cup tasted so good. I want another cup.
How much and how often can I enjoy?
Feel free to enjoy Edible Green anytime, anywhere,
at snack time, meal time, as well as tea time.
|
For
example, Edible Green sprinkled on cereal
is a good way to start the day. Enjoy a cup or
two of heart warming flavorful tea for a break.
Sprinkle Edible Green over popcorn for a light
snack. Mix up Edible Green in your baked potato
at dinner time.
Regualr Edible Green contains caffeine—the amount
of caffeine in green tea is about 1/10 of coffee.
The powerful antioxidants in Edible Green,
like all beneficial substances, should be used
in moderation as a part of a balanced diet.
|
| 3.
Would it be the same if I grind loose tea or tea
leaves from tea bags? Probably
not. |
| What
do you know about the source and quality of the
tea leaves you would grind? Note that Edible Green
is grown exclusively by a certified farmer and
processed by certified experts. Edible Green is
organic certified by the Ministry of Agriculture,
Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. It is packed
in a safe, clean environment under strict quality
control in Japan, and imported by Sei Mee Tea
LLC. Please note: Edible Green Decaffeinated is
not certified organic, but it is decaffeinated
by water method and ground from 100% genuine "Sencha"
green tea leaves grown in Japan. |
| 4.
It doesn’t dissolve. Is it supposed to be dissolved?
No, it doesn’t completely dissolve like a sugar.
|
| Edible
Green is 100% whole leaf. No chemical treatment.
It is natural Edible Green doesn’t completely
dissolve. However, the leaves are ground to a
very fine powder—like flour. Gently sway the cup
to maintain suspension and enjoy the smooth, rich
flavor of Edible Green to the last drop. |
| 5.
Is it true that milk negates green tea's antioxidants?
Yes, it is true. |
| Scientific
studies show that milk protein binds with Catechin
molecules and make the antioxidants unavailable
for the human body, when green tea is consumed
with milk. However, plant protein doesn't cause
this negative effect so soy milk/rice milk/almond
milk are good choices to mix with green tea. |
| 6.
How much caffeine is there in Edible Green?
About 1/10 of a cup of regular coffee.
|
Caffeine
amount in 8 oz of tea and coffee:
Edible Green 9mg / Decaffeinated Edible Green
<0.1mg /
Matcha 16-50 mg / Black Tea 40-60 mg /
Coffee 80-140 mg / Decaf Coffee 3-4 mg
Fact 1: The caffeine in 8 oz drink of regular
Edible Green tea is about the same as in 1 bar
of Hershey Chocolate (1.55oz), which also has
9 mg of caffeine.
Fact 2: Edible Green contains L-theanine, a relaxant.
So it doesn't cause caffeine jitters; instead,
Edible Green gives you alertness and relaxation
at the same time, providing you steady energy.
Fact 3: Water processed decaffeinated Edible Green
is available for those who shouldn't take caffeine
for various reasons. Although the antioxidant
power in decaf is about 1/3 of regular Edible
Green, the flavor is as good and comforting as
regular Edible Green. And you are still getting
much more antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals
than you would from brewed tea. Caffeine in decaf
Edible Green is guaranteed lower than 1% of regular
Edible Green. |
"I
have comments about your tea which is that it
is awesome! I found your product at a Holiday
Bazaar in Oregon at the Convention Center. I was
visiting a friend in November and we went there.
It was the very last booth that I stopped at for
the day and I was sold! I drink tea everyday of
my life before bed and I enjoy going to high tea
at different resorts in my area. Just open my
tea cabinet and there are thirty different ones
ready to fall out at you!
What I love about your tea is that I have a very
stressful management position with my comapny
and a cup of green tea in the afternoon really
helps me out with overall feeling better. I will
add your green tea to any flavor of tea I already
have as well. I keep a canister at the office
and one at home. Not only do I drink it hot and
or with other flavored teas, but I just put it
in bottled water, shake and go! I have also shared
your tea with many friends and family. I will
be giving the gift of green tea from now on!
Lastly, I am forty three years young and I hope
that the benefits from your tea shines through
in giving me a more youthful feeling and appearance.
:) It sure feels like it!"

your tea at the holiday gift show at the expo

so quickly. Love it...it is very tasty! Thanks
again!"

I drink Edible

husband doesn’t notice.
